This is an open-style hotel surrounded by seedlings, whose main building is renovated from an abandoned primary school. New additions including a reception hall, a restaurant, a book house, service facilities and three independent farmhouses are built on the basis of the original structure. The design advocates the harmonious relationship between human and land, and respects the ecological civilization of the land. Most of the building materials are locally available materials — bamboo, river stones, old bricks and tiles, etc. The designer covers the building surface with bamboo and builds the exterior walls with river stones, which not only saves construction costs, but also embodies the environmental protection concept.
