As the annual rings of the city stack layer upon layer in the alleys of Liwan, urban renewal is no longer a simple demolition and reconstruction, but a gentle dialogue between memories and the future.

The Baie Tan Keng Tsai Urban Renewal Exhibition Hall, designed by C&C Design, is clad with perforated aluminum panels engraved with the texture of Liwan’s old streets and lanes. It infuses modern aesthetics into the outline of old buildings, and adopts the design logic of “inheritance and rebirth” to let urban memories and future imaginations interweave here.
