As an experience center, reception is an essential function, and presenting the lifestyle aesthetics integrated with local culture is where the “experience” value lies. From the concise facade and the geometric-lined structural form, you can easily recognize its “modernist architecture” appearance. Upon closer inspection, the Chinese traditional blank-leaving art is embedded in the water surface reflecting its silhouette and the well-proportioned spatial layout.
This is both the starting point of our design and the destination we are heading for.
Respect and concession are the core principles of this design. The distinct functionalist style is integrated with the spatial rhythm of Eastern poetry. The original architectural design itself has presented a strong aesthetic expression, and there is a delicate balance between the spatial form and the environmental scale — one more touch would make it overcrowded, while one less would leave it empty. Based on this, the designer deliberately creates more expressive “blank spaces” in the design. The “ink” of the architecture becomes more vivid and profound in the “white” of the decoration, and different design elements thus achieve mutual complementation and success.
