城市，是用建筑写就的历史。不同时代的建筑在其中聚合、交融，形成不断变化的空间与格局，呈现着城市在不同时期里的审美与脾性。时间的交替里，有的建筑得以保留，成为某段历史的见证与象征；有的被完全取代，拆除重建的同时也逐渐倒塌在人们的记忆中；还一部分被改造重构，成为连接不同时代的融合点，将某些超越建筑本身的精神向下延续。

时代地产中心1-5层的有限改造中，设计应当如何介入历史，充分尊重原有结构的同时让新的元素与理念和谐融入，找寻时代审美、空间功能与历史经典间的连接平衡点，是项目最大的挑战与意义所在。

Cities are histories written in architecture. Buildings of different eras converge and blend within them, forming ever-changing spaces and layouts that present the city’s aesthetics and temperament in different periods. As time alternates, some buildings are preserved to become witnesses and symbols of a certain period of history; some are completely replaced, gradually fading out of people’s memories as they are demolished and rebuilt; others are renovated and reconstructed to become integration points connecting different eras, passing down certain spirits that transcend the buildings themselves.
In the limited renovation of the 1st to 5th floors of Times Property Center, how the design should intervene in history, fully respect the original structure while harmoniously integrating new elements and concepts, and find the balance point connecting the contemporary aesthetics, spatial functions and historical classics, is the biggest challenge and significance of this project.
